D.El.Ed is a 2-year full-time diploma course which is divided into 4 semesters. Candidates who have qualified graduation from recognized university with a minimum of  General Category 50%/ OBC/ SC/ST-45% marks are eligible to apply.

 

D.El.Ed. course plays a significant role in laying the foundation for further learning through a series of supervised experiences. It is important that teachers acquire proper training in order two handle children at the elementary level. The study includes all major aspects of education field. Along with the theoretical part, they also go through practical training.

The curriculum of D.El.Ed. course is divided into two parts: General course and subject disciplines. Syllabus disciplines are further divided into subject content courses and method courses.  They prepare teachers with broad knowledge of the subject areas and the latter includes principles for child development, education practice, study of school pedagogy and the role of teacher in the grooming of students.
